The weather
was not the only thing that was hot the weekend of July
16-18, 2010. The DFW Tornados 94G Black U17 Girls played
five games in 100° weather, preventing their opponents from
scoring a single score in regulation play, resulting in five
shut-out wins (4-0, 4-0, 8-0, 10-0, and 0-0). After ending
in a 0-0 tie, the championship game was won in PKs (4-3).
Congratulations DFW Tornados 94G Black on your perseverance
and impressive win, and securing the title of PUMA Cup 2010
U17 Girls Champions!

Coach Kevin Fralick's Sister Teams
the 92 & 93 G Blue and 95 G White Teams were joined by
Coach Tracy Duren's 99 Girls Team for the great
opportunity to learn about the great rewards that come
with community service and helping others in need at
Christmas.
As Coach Fralicks teaches his girls, the club soccer
experience can be more than playing good soccer. For his
teams it is about growing good citizens. |
|
The Girls represented their club very well, all wearing
their Tornado Warm up Jackets, Santa hats, smiles and
good spirit! They were joined by siblings and parents
and all volunteered to help families in need at Mission
Arlington collect donated
toys and gifts for their loved ones this Christmas.
Others wrapped presents for the families too.
A Special thanks are in order to Ms. Irene Flores who
embroidered the girls names on their Santa hats as well. |
It was a great
experience to represent our teams, families and club and it was
very clear that all were moved to better understand just how
blessed and full of God's favor we all are!
Mission
Arlington does great work for the community. Anyone interested
in helping in any way is invited to
visit their website at

Panda Cup Tour Australia 2009
 |
Our club has a very special relationship
with Zen Sports Group. Not only to they help us with our
tournament travel, club travel and marketing Zen
develops, organizes and escort our teams for oversee
soccer cultural tours. Just recently a mix of DFW 92 and
93 Boys and their families traveled to Sydney this
July. The trip was 14 days and included Melbourne,
Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Our team played
five games and represented the Club well. The teams we
played were very gracious and cooked a full celebration
"Barbee" after each game. We saw many wonderful natural
sites, from the Blue Mountains to nature parks to the
beaches and learned all the history of their country.
One of the highlighted evenings was our team dinner on
a tram car that toured the city of Melbourne
while we ate and listened to Frank Sinatra. |
Another was watching the whales play
in the ocean. We made friends, experienced another
culture and have memories that will last us a
lifetime.
If you are interested in a similar
life time experience please contact Zen Sports
Group.
Check out this trip and others on our Zen
Sports website. We had a great group from DFW go to
Europe in 2008
