| Playing Career |
| Yannis joined our Club in July 2004 and has picked up a wealth of coaching experience in a short time. A native of Bellevue, Neb., Yannis was a four-year starter on the Bellevue East High School team and played collegiately at Wartburg College in Iowa, earning all-conference honors as a junior and senior. After graduation in 1998 with a B.A. in education, Yannis played for the Des Moines Menace in the Premier Development League (PDL). |
| Coaching Career |
| His coaching career began while he was still in college, when he served as assistant coach of the Waterloo West and Cedar Falls high school boy’s teams. He became the assistant coach for the men’s team and head coach of the women’s team at Wartburg College in 1997. After moving to Texas, he has been the varsity boy’s assistant and junior varsity head coach at Grapevine High School since 1998. Yannis also has coached in the club ranks for the Texas Stars and Texas Lightning. He continues to stay active as a player, competing in the Arlington open league and Fort Worth over-30 league. Yannis currently holds a USSF “C” National coaching license. |
